Big Trucks Aren't Just For Boys

On Saturday, Scott, Addison and I went to Hinesburg to participate in the Big Truck Day. I wasn't exactly sure what Addison would think but I figured it couldn't hurt to check it out.

Right off the bat Addison was intrigued. How can one resist a nice red fire hat? (that she will not put on again mind you)

Some of the big trucks that were on display. There was about four rows of different kinds of trucks to explore.

Addison's favorite was this big firetruck.

Testing out the horn.

A bigger view of the truck she was in. Not too shabby.

Her second favorite....a giant bucket loader thing. It had lots of switches for her to play with.
Addison's first school bus adventure. Unfortunately she wasn't that impressed.

And just in case the big trucks weren't enough to keep you entertained, you could go into the school gym (it was at the Hinesburg Nursery School) and test your luck in the giant bouncy house.

Bugs was a little small to go in by herself but they were kind enough to tell Scott he could join her. Let's just he wasn't disappointed to have to join in the fun. After some nice bouncing, Daddy and Addison hit up the slide which is always a big hit with Bugs.

We wrapped up our fun morning with a little face painting (and a yummy frosted sugar cookie).

Addison was a good girl and sat very still while the face painter (a nice high school age girl) worked her magic quickly and efficiently.
Addison enjoying seeing the end result.
A close up of her flower.

All in all, another wonderful experience with the little lady. These types of things really are some of my most favorite times with her and I am glad we could make it out even in the rain and cold. And to show that big trucks really aren't just for boys.
