Picture Of The Week

This is usually Scott's deal but I had to hijack it this week.

There is so much I love about this picture....the spiky eyelashes, the slicked down hair, the curious look. Maybe it just speaks to me because this was a mama bath night and we had an extra good time.

PS - you should be able to click on the picture to make it bigger, then you can really see all the details I mention

Yoga Revisited

Upward Dog (Addison's interpretation)

Addison and I attended a little reunion on Saturday. My old pre-natal yoga class has morphed into a post-partum mom and baby yoga class. Saturday was my first chance to attend the post-partum class. I was a little nervous about how Addison would do and I guess myself as well. I am out of shape!! However, I should have know better. It was incredible to see the ladies again and meet their new little ones. It felt great to do some poses with Addison at the head of my mat curiously watching me. We even did some baby yoga for about twenty minutes at the end and Addison seemed to love it. See below for proof.

Namaste!

At Attention, Private

(Scott) Well here it is, the long awaited 'Militant Addison, at attention!'

Sorry it took so long, it feels like we have been so busy lately...hope it's not
disappointing.

A Daddy's Love

Do I really need to say anything else?

Kid Tested, Mouth Approved

Addison is insanely fixated on putting everything in her mouth and I mean everything.

It all starts cute enough but she always has a hidden agenda. See for yourself.

Hello, Madame Butterfly

Aren't you tasty.

Hi, Mama!

Mmmmm, Berber.
Hey Mama, whatca up to?

Your nose just looked so yummy.
Yes, Mr. Ducky, you are my best friend too.
Mrmghpf, mrmghpf, munch, munch.

Watch out, you might be next!

Busted

Yes, she hasn't even tasted solid food yet, but I came out to the kitchen yesterday afternoon to this:

That is Scott's Valentine's Day ice cream cake (or what's left of it). Note her little hand holding the plate. She's a girl after her mother's heart....heading straight for the sweets!

(Scott) Jill and I got a night out at Blue Paddle Bistro in South Hero, Vermont for Valentines Day while Grandma B. kept Addison away from our ice cream cake.

Hello, Lover!

Yes, I am ripping off SATC (Sex and The City for those out of that loop). I feel about my new camera the way Carrie Bradshaw feels about all her fabulous shoes. I love it. See for yourself.

These pics were taken right out of the box, pre-instruction manual and everything. Not bad, right?
Happy Valentine's Day to us!

Hugs For Sale

Any takers?

It's a little tricky to see in the above photo but Addison's new Valentine's bib has a little heart in the top corner that says 'Hug Me'. You don't have to ask me twice!

Here's her daycare Valentine ensemble in full effect.

I'd be her Valentine!

Weekend Visitors

Scott, Addison and I were lucky enough to enjoy a weekend filled with friends both local and from out of town. For those who don't know, one of my dear college friends (Heather) moved to Burlington a few years ago and now lives with her fiance Matt about one mile from our house. It is awesome to have her so close to me! This past weekend, our mutual friend Amy (and one of my college roommates) came to stay with Heather from Washington, DC with her fiance Eric. We all spent the weekend having a blast together.

Thursday night we had Heather, Matt, Amy and Eric over for dinner. It also happened to be Amy's birthday. Check out the super deluxe ice cream cake we devoured (excuse the goofy face). Yum!
It was wonderful to introduce Amy and Eric to Miss Addison.

Auntie Amy (DC visitor) & Addison:

Saturday Scott and I were able to enjoy a day of snowboarding at Stowe with each other and our friends sans Addison thanks to Grammie B babysitting services. While we love our little lady and hate to be without her, it was great to enjoy some time to ourselves and to also spend time with friends enjoying something we all love - being on the hill! Scott took some video of the day but unfortunately most of it is pretty eye boggling to watch. Thinks lots of snow flying by and bumpy footage of little dots (ie: people) snowboarding.

Later Saturday evening, Scott, Addison and I went to Heather and Matt's house for some great conversation, yummy food and good times. Matt is a passionate snowboarder and they have an apartment above their garage that is inhabited by another super passionate snowboarder. What are Eric and Scott so seriously discussing in the photo below?
Why Matt's and Chuck's backyard terrain park, of course.

While the above photo probably won't mean much if you aren't into snowboarding or skiing, it is a crazy example of how people in VT spend their time when winter starts getting a little long. Matt and Heather provided the backyard and Chuck made all of the features you see. Crazy.

We topped off a great weekend with a little Rock Band as well. Scott LOVES this video game. See below for his 'guitar face'. You should see when he's on the mic. (Don't worry, Addison was sleeping soundly down the hall for this portion of the evening.) Thanks Apple, Eric, Heather and Matt for such a great weekend!

Little Lady

Scott frequently refers to Addison as some combination of Little Lady, Little Ladybug, Ladybug, etc. so this outfit was particularly fitting when we received it at Christmas from Aunt Amy. You can't see it in the pics but the tag under the big ladybug on her front says Little Lady. We think she most certainly is a 'Little Lady' in this outfit. Check out those antenna on her feet!

And yes, we do have an extreme fasciation with putting our hands in our mouth these days, particulary the right one. Mmmmm.

What?

Hey, Mom....do I have something on my face? It kinda feels like it....

Addison has turned into quite the drool queen lately resulting in many cute photos that are marred by shiny lips and lines of drool. Yummy!

Super Bowl, Schmuper Bowl

Pre-game:

During game:

Post game:
Sorry, no photos. Addison crying is probably no big deal, but Scott crying would probably be a little embarrassing for him.
Seriously though, props to Scott's hometown team (the Arizona Cardinals for those who don't know). I think they played a great game although he may not agree. Go Cardinals!

One Happy Grandma

Someone's pretty happy in this pic, right?

On Saturday, after enjoying the day at Stowe, we went to Grammie B's house for our second overnight visit. It had been a whole month since Addison had seen Grammie B and that was too long! Addison was a little sparkler the whole time and even treated us all to a late morning by waking up at around 7:30am. Sweet girl, keep it up!
