Much to the disappointment of my family, Scott and I made the executive decision not to attend Easter dinner at my aunt and uncle's house. We knew that Addison should only have limited water/milk and maybe a cracker and we didn't want to torture her with a full ham dinner she couldn't touch (and I really didn't want her to throw up at someone else's house).
Once Bugs woke up from her nap, we cuddled and then went outside to enjoy the sunshine in our front yard. She was feeling a little better so we did a small egg hunt to find some sticker filled eggs in our trees and shrubs out front and then had some good laughs while Daddy tried to fly the kite Grammy B had bought Addison.
When we went inside we decided it was finally time to dig in to Addison's Easter basket since she hadn't done it yet. After some quick maneuvering to remove the cookies that were originally included, Addison got to enjoy this:
She jumped right in and went to work on her new coloring book with her new stampers.
She also immediately started loving on her two new animals that Grammy B put in her basket.

All her booty out on display. What a haul!!
While we were disappointed not to spend Easter with my family, it was an unexpected quiet afternoon at home and that was fantastic. Addison took a second nap (made us remember how great two naps a day was) and we enjoyed a cuddly, quiet night. Happy Easter!
