Our New Home

(Scott) We are just about there in our new home... every day we seem to get another big project out of the way, and there are less and less boxes to be unpacked. We have bought and ordered several pieces of furniture for the house and have many more to go. This past week we got the clothes in our bedroom unpacked; we bought our patio furniture and weatherproofed it; I mowed, edged, and fertilized the weed filled lawn. We cleared out a pile of leaves and a hoard of wood stacked against the house and are strategizing about future plans to tackle the perennials, which are mostly over grown, dead or just too close to the house. We are very happy getting to know our new house, and getting used to all the new space available to us. We look forward to many guests this lovely Vermont summer. Jill is on her own in the next few days with Addison, as I will be in NYC for work. And then this Friday, Jill and I will be heading without Addison for Sarasota, Florida for Carrie's wedding. Jill has been excited about the wedding for some time...we can't wait to see Tom and Carrie! Jill's mother, sister, aunt and cousin (apparently it takes a small army) are gearing up for babysitting duties with Addison at our house. We know they will take loving care of her while we are gone. Thanks so much Linda, Amy, Sandy and Stephanie for giving Jill and I the chance to go to the wedding. Addison will be missed, but the mixed drinks at the hotel pool should calm our nerves a bit.
